The wife and I headed the "wrong" direction this time of year and decided to make a trip to visit my parents in Beaufort, SC. Personally, I think it's one of the most beautiful areas of the south east and I don't mind giving up a few powder days to relax in the lowcountry. We visited Charleston for a day too, which is never a disappointment. Here are some pictures from the 4 days we spent in your neck of the woods.

Nope, didn't drive- flew in and out of Charlotte on both ends of the trip to see some old friends there. It's an easy drive from Charlotte to Beaufort.

I really like that second to last picture. The ability to make a nice photo out of seemingly nothing is a special talent.

Beautiful pictures! Were you in the area for the "big" Christmas snow?

Nope, we flew into Charlotte on Monday, the day after the "blizzard" hit. The snow was all gone and the roads were dry by Monday afternoon.
