I know this will be a lousy TR but it was so epic today that I have to share my thoughts. Southern and Robins was freakin awesome. Pow past the knees, and drifts up to the waist in spots. Got a couple good tree runs in which were awesome. Lightning was good but the face was the only fun spot since it was kinda flat before and after. Didn't even mess with Upper and Lower Shawneehaw because there was so much pow on Lower that you had to unstrap and walk most of the way.

Considering how bad the roads where, alot more people were on the mountain today than I thought there would be. Good crowd for Bathing Beauties. Avatar, King of the Mountain, Duct Tape Bikini, Snow Bunny, and Doublemint Twins were just some of the creativity out there. Village Rail Jam didn't have many competitors but it was still fun to watch. Congrats to Timmy Ollis for taking the win.

If anyone has pics please post! I was too focused on making some pow turns to mess with my camera. Definitely the most epic day of the season so far. Good start to Winterfest! Tomorrow should be great as well! Happy shredding everyone!

They're both on Beech Ski Patrol. And she won last year as well. Said she was retiring from the event.

Missed the bikini contest due to riding, but the conditions truly were insane. I seem to be running into "westlike" powder more and more this season.

I wish I could offer some pics, but alas, I have none. A friend I was riding with has video from his playsport, but I have no access to that and I didn't take anything out.

Side note: that rail that the jam was on is super short, not allowing much time for the riders/skiers to get very creative...
