Quick TR before the Journey back to VA.1/2 day session .Never been here before. This place is more old school than Canaan.!It has some legit terrain, steeps, cuts in + out of the woods, lots of named glade runs and a few rock drops . You basically follow a gently sloping ridge to mid mountain then it drops off into some North facing slopes/bowls/tree runs .Sick terrain .

Saw this in the restaurant/ticket sale /bathroom /lodge, and I agree 100%

Kind of weird their rope was at 10AM.

Like I said old school .2 seater to the expert terrain. It was cool you could get off midstation and be right at the top of the ridge to the steep stuff.

Evidence of the day before's thrashing on extrovert.

Same slope on the lower part.Couple good skier's were killing those bumps.

Can you spot Brooks line popping out of woods , upper left ??

Chill mountain. Mellow vibe from the local's.What's going on over here??

Interesting lift system .Utilizing 2 lifts with one pole.Red dog ? I wish.

Most of the pow in the glades was cleaned out but found some scraps .

Intermediate glades..

Glades to the right, blue square groomer to the left..

I bet this place was off the hook last year during the Snowpocalypse

How far is that from Timberline? Is it close to Pittsburgh?

7 Springs is 50 miles southeast of Pittsburgh .If you wanted to incorporate it into a Timberline trip it is about 2 hours from there. It took me 1 hr from Somerset (cheap hotel near 7 springs) to Blue Knob .

Great reports Brookbarrel

So the weather patterns are enough different that this area of PA has snow when Canaan area has rain?

7 springs looks so similar to Wisp -- obviously bigger though

Anyway -- thanks, it's now confirmed that Blue Knob has to be a destination next year

I think it was just a Lattitude issue with this event with warm air(SW flow) from the gulf overpowering most of the region + the cold front losing out. It was 20 degrees at 7 springs , about 30 in Canaan and 45 at snowshoe late Monday evening during the heavy precip. period. You'd like Blue Knob Davidski. The glades are plentiful. Lo tide yesterday but I couldn't stay out of there fearing springs early arrival

Mellow Yellow told me a tale of a Knob Goblin once. It scared me so bad, but seeing this TR, I think he may have been yanking my chain. Although I think he said that goblin hid under barstools and hit on unsuspecting beersoaked cubs. Stay safe out there!
