It's amazing how Beech can make such a good looking park area for the contest in one night yet their actual park looks like complete crap the rest of the year. They ain't foolin anyone. Here's to next season.

That set up was cool, but it was fairly sketchy and very scary. I guess it made everything look cooler since it looked scarier though.

Nice TR. I'm crying inside because it's really starting to look like end of season.

1.) best part of the tr is the emotional tale of the forbidden relationship between the shawnee snake hit and brian "hercules" musicmoves. made me chuckle. nice work as always jam.

2.) way to get after it tanner! heard you were chargin, sad i couldnt make it saturday to ride the setup.

3.) i have ridden in rain before, but usually i have a jacket on. today's 50 degree downpour made for a few of the most interesting lift rides i've ever had, but i made it until 12:30 just to get my money's worth for the drive up. yea, the season's almost over, the conditions were downright silly, and i was rocking a soaking wet tshirt, but man nothing beats snowboarding in any condition imo. there's always fun to be had if you really want it.

4.) skirt's kids are gonna be in the x games. cool family.

ahh yes, another year goes by, another love/hate relationship with our beloved beech mountain. it is a bit of a bummer to see what they can really do with just a half night's work, but not see that effort matched once the entire season in the park. more disappointing than the lack of upkeep, does anyone remember the MASSIVE list of new features that were supposed to be introduced this year? let's just say they didn't quite come to fruition. can't have it all though i guess, if we could, sugar would have beech's quad, and app's park would get dropped into the backside of the mountain (accessed by the oz tunnel). i love beech and i understand that they had some unforeseen and unfortunate issues midseason with having to let park employees go, but the park was for the most part still very disappointing. i just hope they realize that it's not just a couple of guys on a forum whining (although we're doing a good job)...there is a significant potential market of park riders to be captured; riders that could easily be lured to beech with some very basic improvements in park design and feature upkeep. beech is a fun mountain to ride (something app. is not as far as terrain goes) and complimenting that terrain with a well kept terrain park would have that place making $$texas$$. i know it may not mean a lot in the grand scheme of things since they make their money off tourists, but next year i will be weighing some alternatives as far as pass options go as a result of what i've seen this year at beech. i want my money to go to beech, i love riding there, but the empty promises about park improvements are starting to get a little old:(

sorry for the run-on, but i think it's important to note outside of the park the on mountain operations this year were awesome imo! solid grooming, not grooming on fresh days, using cold temps to blow as much as possible, customer service, etc. were great. i just really enjoy park riding so for me it weighs heavily on the overall mtn. experience, but it may not at all for you and i think that the park issues are an isolated problem that do not carry over to the rest of beech's operations so kudos to management for that.

Yeah I hate to seem like I'm whining. I do love Beech don't get me wrong. It just surprises me what they've done with that aspect of the mountain. At times this year it's been downright sketchy and sometimes dangerous (nom nom rail) and it is somewhat disappointing to see them just let it go unmaintained for the most part. Also, I go a lot at night and the lack of grooming in between sessions made for some terrible conditions. Then I hear stories of employees getting crazy at the Beech Tree and also see one walking around the next morning with two girls on top of one of the buildings in the village on a Sunday morning with a beer in his hand and it makes you wonder. I'm young and like to party myself but dang. Like I said, I love Beech and more than likely I'll get a pass there again next year. Hopefully, I won't catch any flak for this comment haha.

Yeah I hate to seem like I'm whining, because I do love Beech and I'll probably get a pass there again next year. And minus the park and lack of grooming in between day and night sessions, it's been a really good season up there. Just frustrating sometimes to see the mountain not live up to it's potential. Too much Patron going around I guess haha.
