Went and hit Sugar Mountain today at around 1pm. Clear, gorgeous weather at nice mid 50s temperature. Grabbed myself a half-day ticket and went on the lift. First, I was amazed that all the slopes were covered in snow. Okay, there were some bare spots on the sides, but all the ones of concern like Tom Terrific, Boulder Dash, and Whoopdedoo were in a great condition. The snow was your typical spring slush, but I did not see any big water ponds while I was there.

Here's the first lift up

There were couple bare spots, but these were somewhat off a beaten path or whatever you want to call it.

Look at those snow! All the hills are still in a great condition.

Here's the condition at the top between Boulder Dash and Tom Terrific.

I was able to satisfy my inner child by hitting Sugar today. On the side note, the terrain park had a 15' box, cannon pipe, 15' flat/down box and a turning ramp. It wasn't much, but at least they did something in there.

I was hitting Whoopdedoo most of the time and it was pretty fun. At about 3pm, the shadow started to cover the slope and you can feel the snow was turning from slush to choppy. All in all, it was a fun day. I know Sugar gets a bad rep for leeching every dollar from their customers, but I highly suggest you give Sugar a chance if you want to get that last run of the season in. Get some! :>)

Some friends went today and sent me some pics to my phone... not looking too bad at all. Still have a hard time wrapping my head around the owner telling the park guys to not have any jumps in the park...

Don't wait too long... it's supposed to rain again this weekend.

Hope things stay decent.. I'm hoping to get up there Monday. Looks like a good chance of rain this weekend :( However, with a low of 24 Sunday night, wonder if they will blow snow?

Has that changed? They had jumps in there last year.
