It was definitely spring riding today. The snow was sticky and SLOW. The combination of a layer of some manmade snow and warmer temperatures definitely made park riding tricky. As you would be riding down you could feel the snow just grab your board and slow you down. I heard it was like this at Beech as well, and I'm sure the same could be said for everywhere today.

The jumps were impossible to clear. The hip jump in AppalJack was fun this morning but by the afternoon it was also a guaranteed casing. Jibbing was fun though. The best line of the day is the one in the video. Flat rail to flat box to "doghouse", which I treated like a mini wall ride. Nose press with a tail tap to a sloppy frontside to an alley oop. Pretty fun.

Everything said, App is in incredible condition right now. They have a ton of snow, easily enough to last them for two more weeks until their closing date. The base on Big Appal is easily 5 feet. The pictures are from Hardcore, where there is still great coverage and no bare spots. These are the only pics I snapped today as I was slacking in the photography category.

Following my girlfriend.
