As you probably already know, I love the town of Crested Butte more than anywhere else in Colorado- maybe the entire country. It's combination of character, authenticity, scenery, adventure, and peacefulness is just about perfect. My wife and I went down last weekend for four days to hike, bike, and just enjoy the town. We did. Here are pictures to prove it.
On the way down, we stopped south of Copper Mountain in Mayflower Gulch at the old Boston Mine:
Whetstone Mtn towers over the town of Crested Butte at sunset:
