So I've been wanting a nice camera for a while now. With 18 month no interest financing at Best Buy, I decided to go for it today. I've been researching some things for a few months, and I have been looking at the Sony DSCHX100V/B. I freakin love it. It isn't a DSLR and I know Sony doesn't have the best lenses or whatever, but I'm not a professional photographer and it has some sweet features. The panoramic sweep mode is mainly what I was looking for. I don't know why but I love panoramics. Anyways, here are a few pics from walking around my neighborhood on Lake Norman.

Pretty cool to check out this thread and see it is from where I live. I could have seen you take these pics from my porch. Need to have a skinc gathering at the Brickhouse.

KneeDeep, I figured you'd chime in haha. I mean, I did want a DSLR, but it was mainly a budget decision. This camera has some cool features and I wanted to get a higher end non-DSLR rather than a lower end DSLR. However, I don't know crap about cameras or photography and I do have a 45 day return policy. This is the other camera I was looking at...http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+-+EOS ... Id=1987075

I freakin love the Brickhouse! Where at in Davidson Landing do you live?

I took some more shots today. I am really, really loving this camera. Plus Best Buy had it on sale today so I got 30 bucks back.



The background defocus tool is sweet.









It has some backlight HDR correction feature or something.





















Did I mention I love the background defocus tool?
