The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

seems like 2011/2012 season ended before it ever began and the crew was left hungry for something more; we decided to hit the road and get a session in at snowflex to quench our thirst for some riding. yardsale, mtbartlett, musicmoves, carvebeast, and a few non members all accounted for. we had good weather all day, overcast in the morning with a pesky wind in our face that made figuring out speed a little tricky, but skies cleared in the afternoon and the winds died, couldn't have picked a better time to go. we sessioned the jumps for hours and more or less completely neglected the jibs, we promise to get some jib pics next time around in a few weeks... here we go:

the mission:

the stoke was high:

sendin it:

new tricks were put down!

hand drag 3

bs rodeo

and the classics made an appearance as well:

tindy sighting!

spins all around:

nothing better than sunshine and airtime, can't wait to head back up:

How does that astro-snow handle compared to the real deal?

its a little sluggish as far as speed goes, but it gets the job done for the most part. the big difference to me is how your edges feel. if you try to dig in your edge and actually carve or try to transition from edge to edge quickly, youre probably going to fall. the best way to control yourself is with short skidded turns (aka the turns newbs use on snow when theyre learning). if you dont ride park, its probably not worth your time b/c making turns on it really isnt all that great imo. if you do ride park or may want to start learning park, its killer!

Haha, I'd thoroughly enjoy seeing you give it a shot, Mellow. It would be entertaining at the least!

This place rocks.. it's like a fun park for snow sports park enthusiasts. The surface tricked me on many occasions, but I'm still alive... :)
