First powder day I've ever seen, and it was great! Left Golden around 7:00, to the basin by 8:15, and on the slopes till about 11:45! So much fun, and the trees were hiding powder even on my last runs. Anyway...

Sunrise and an inch of snow outside the apartment

Driving over the pass

Not a bad parking spot at all. About 8:15

Snow kept up most of the morning.

Fantastic conditions, especially mid mountain

Good to see some snow on the mountain again

Great day, so much fun. I might try and throw up some pictures from earlier in the season this week too, we'll see.

Last year was 4th of July, but I've been hearing June 3rd for closing this season. They're reporting a 45" base, shouldn't be hard to stretch that a month and a half.

Great TR! Nice to see snow pics when it's 90 degrees.

I knew you had a camera -- I like the last treeshot

Strange cover -- a lot of soft inches on a hard base

I wish I could have been there to ski some of it

It was interesting some of the spots where the powder had been skied off or up top where the wind had blown some spots free and loaded others switching back and forth between the nice, slow powder and the fast, slick ice.

Welcome to the club. Now that you have tasted powder you will never again be satisfied without it.
