Myself, carvebeast, mtbartlett, yardsale, and GrizzlyEnton made the trip to Liberty yesterday. I'd never been there before but it....is....awesome! It's like a big playground. I really like it and I had way more fun than I was anticipating. The weather was cloudy which was a good thing as temps didn't get to be too hot. Rain earlier in the day actually helped to reduce friction. Took me only a run or two to get used to the surface and then Tom talked me into hitting the jumps.

I snapped a bunch of pics with my new camera. This was the first time I got to use it and some of the pics didn't come out as good as I would have liked due to me not having the right settings in place. I still got a bunch of goods ones though and next time I'll know what to do.

I'm gonna start playing around with Photoshop more.

I wish I lived closer to this place as it is a great offseason training facility. I will be going once a month though since the drive from Davidson is only a little over 3 hours...not bad.

Some actual snowflex awesomosity -- nice

I hadn't thought about it but going there on an overcast , maybe even slight chance of shower day would be better. The sun was trying to bake it dry when I was there and it definitely affects the slide.

Looks like fun! What does the surface do to the base of your board? Do you use a special wax?

and the surroundings are not exactly tailgating friendly--a stark contrast from the Beech parking lot
