The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

If you've never been to the Whitewater Center in Charlotte before, you should check it out. My girlfriend and I bought season passes the other week and I plan on frequenting the place every weekend during the summer if possible. They have whitewater rafting, mountain biking, ziplining (shaka bra!), and rock climing among other activities. It really is a cool place.

Yesterday was about beer though. They were having a beer tasting event called the Brew Stash Bash. Something like 15 local brewers were there. I'd never been to a beer tasting event so this was pretty awesome to take part in. I drank a lot of beer and in my intoxicated state I had my camera set to take low quality pics, minus the panoramic shots. Woops. Here they are anyways.

I'm down.

Looks like fun, K! Jen and I will be out there Saturday. Let me know if you'll be going. We've planned to be there in the morning and stay all day.

The locals would just bitch about what a big waste of tax dollars it is and how it's just a hangout for hooligans and hippies that could better spend their time at home on the internet writing snide comments on the local newspaper's website.

You don't have to pay to use the MTB trails, do you?

I lived in Charlotte for a few years and used to ride those trails all the time before the center was built. I'm curious to see what they're like now.
