The sunset over the Colorado Front Range tonight was unreal. Based on the high, thin cloud cover in the afternoon (and the strong winds), I knew it was going to be great. With ten minutes to spare, I made my way to the "high point" in town (I live in Niwot, five miles north of Boulder) which gave me views from Fort Collins all the way down to Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, over 100 miles away. Here's my best effort of capturing the progression of colors and clouds tonight, as I got to see them.

Very cool
-- say what you will about Texans, but growing up in Amarillo, I saw my share of beautiful sunsets and thunderstorms

Angel- I don't think I'm going to be able to do one this year. I posted up the information in the usual places last month, and I got ZERO interest.

Ok. I would have responded right away but I haven't been on the site for a long time. I'll miss having your amazing photos behind my desk! : (
