This is a very late TR from opening weekend at Snow Trails an hour north of Columbus Ohio. My wife and I have a once-a-week pass here that we bought for $150. Opening weekend they only had 2 runs open, but it was still fun to get out and make some turns on our new skis. It was fun, and there was a ton of the area that we did not have a chance to ski. I did hit it on 12.27.12 when they had just had 8 inches on top of a few more inches a few days before. Their 300 vertical feet and 17 runs complete with chairlifts will be a noticeable upgrade from Cloudmont.

This is looking down competition. A 'black' run according to their ratings. This was closed the next day. As you can see it was a bit thin. Next weekend, the 6th they are having skiercross race on this run that I plan to enter.
This is looking up at a blue called Mount Mansfield from the base. It was fun!
Hi!

There really is quite bit more to ski here than what the pictures suggest. While nothing is gnarly here, fun turns can certainly be had. They even have several glades that I have been able to hit now that winter has fully set in. A big plus is they have great snowmaking and they say they are committed to providing great conditions. Snow Trails is a solid option if you are based in Columbus Ohio. Sorry I did not take pics after the 8 inch dump. I'll post another TR with all of their runs open.
