Hey Folks -

Went skiing today the 8th at Cataloochee. Great coverage and the morning was perfect.

Fresh blown snow... after noon things warmed up and the bottom 1/2 got a little soft and slow. The overall conditions were great and stayed good on top. Very fun! Some bump contours are beginning to form on the right side of Upper Omigosh. If you have enough speed, the steep bank on the left of Lower Omigosh was a great feature to ski up, down the ridge and drop down back into the slope.

So back to the 7th trip. My friend Tricia was skiing in the tree line that occurs in the rock island section, skiers right....we were within the posted boundary and outside of the cleared slope. I skied it today as well and it was still great. Check it out but be careful

and watch for the crud section about half way in. Get up soon before the heat get the best of it.
