I'll likely be going up with my daughter. Just waiting to get closer to see the weather report.

CJ, if you decide to go send me an email & you both can go on our group rate.

We are looking pretty good to have the 15 minimum in order to get group rates. Hope to see you on the mountain!

Who wants to pay full price for Sugar? I don't blame her for workin' it.

So it's actually not a game but my job. The only "free" ticket is for the 16th person (me) because in order to offer this as a program I have to cover the cost. It also makes it cheaper for everyone....it's a win, win. Not to mention as a single Mom it helps me afford to get my so sons on the slopes as many times as I can. No worries...not a scam or gaming the system...just a smart way to work doing what I love.

Sweet Jesus. HardeeGirl if I were going to sugar that day I'd certainly be in for the group rate, although I think it still ends up kind of expensive

She didn't say that she would be paid to work on the day of the trip but it is her job to organize. Getting the 16th ticket free is a perk of the job, (and the deal most resorts make to help defray the cost of chaperones.)
Also she has advertised to the Spartenburg to get the majority of the group. She is offerring here to us as a courtesy.
If you don't want to participate then don't go, but lighten up! She is being nice! Not scamming.

A group of random people from a bunch of different states is not what Sugar has in mind when it means "Group Rates".
There is no ambiguity, you are cheating.
Oddly enough, I did not see anywhere on the Sugar group sales page that stipulated what a "group" is, beyond the fact that it is defined as 15 people.
If you think a resort sweats a couple of bucks off a ticket, I would encourage you to think hard about the margins on those $5 french fries and equipment rentals.
I think you could make a better argument for the "cheaters" being those of us bringing our own equipment and cooking out in the parking lot....at least with respect to the resorts bottom line.
