It sounds like I unfortunately skipped the second half of the superbowl and missed a good game to go home and get some much needed sleep and then was checking the weather and noticed WV went from a watch to a winter storm warning, so I packed and left first thing this morning. Weather was sunny til about 3pm when the snow started and it has been progressively snowing harder, about 3" now at 7pm. Timberline had less natural but more manmade snow than when I was here a month ago. Hopefully they will be back to that after 4 to 10" tonight. They are making huge whales on their second terrain park so hopefully that will be open soon as it can be one of the best large jump parks in the region. The Drop was groomed, hopefully for the last time this season, Off The Wall actually needs to be groomed as the whales cover almost the entire width. Sorry for the short video but I expect to have a lot more tomorrow. I got a short aerial shot of Wintergreen, it looked like everything was groomed and open.

Good stuff! So rock skis are recommended in the trees right now? Hope it keeps coming!

Thanks, looks fun even if it doesn't fill in like we'd like-- by the way you are a very smooth skier Maybe I'll see you this trip, but I doubt I'd keep up. The trees at Canaan are a little more spaced, they might be more manageable in this coverage although first few runs in Glade runner at T-line tomorrow would be fun

Anyone know a good mechanic in Elkins?

today I didn't need rock skis, but I must have hit a couple hundred fallen trees, 4" new with interesting frozen rain crust on top, fresh tracks all day, Canaan tomorrow, light snow, wind, and clouds now, I forgot to mention the guy on this video riding the strapless skateboard deck mounted on a narrow board thing in the video, looked like a fun ride.
