The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

So the gang decided to go to da WOLF sunday morning to use our 24.99 liftopia tix. Left big "A" (Auburn, Ga.) around 6:30. Started seeing snow on HWY. 25 going to Asheville. Started snowing pretty good in Asheville. SNOWING real good about 5 miles from the exit and roads were not scraped. Got to the resort and proceeded to get stuck in the parking lot!A guy in an old 4 wheel chevy truck comes by and hooks a chain and helps us get up to lot and as we thank him I ask if he knows about the new owners or Mr. english the old owner. He was Mr. Englishs's nephew. He said yes that a new group was taking over currently. He offers to give us a lift up the hill to the lodge and as we arrive, Mr. English and the new owner (who I recognized from previous pics on here) pulled up and the new guy got out. I asked him if he was the new owner and he said yes and was glad to see us. I wished him luck and told him that his place had so much potential but really needed a new direction. He agreed and said look for many improvements in the near future.

Now for the skiing-- It was unreal. You could pretty much go where you wanted and many, many people were. Officially 10 trails were open but I personally skiied 13 or 14 of them. Light crowds, snowing like crazy the whole day.I hope the few pics I took will come out but my luck has not been good on here. No video as the battery died as we were going up the lift first time.

That's pretty interesting that you had that interaction w/ ownership, and nice report. I still want to go to Wolf on a day like that
