The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Crazy good today. The fresh 3" covered the groomers and filled in the trees nicely. I tried to get first tracts but Elkins traffic and snowy roads slowed me up to a 915 start at Soaring Eagle lift. I didn't bother with pics of groomers....

Camp99 was left ungrroomed and was filled in powder bumps (sorry no pic)

Sawmill Glades

Grabhammer was off the hook (my fav)

Upper

Lower

Shays (trees)

Ballhooter

Widowmaker (afternoon)

Not much of a crowd but not bad for a Tues. Patroller told me they might open Silver Creek this weekend...reservations are at 30%. NOT OFFICIAL!

Tons of powder to be found all day in the usual hiding places.

Looks good -- wanted to go but settled for a day trip closer to home

(you know some of your pic links didn't work, curious about the Ballhooter one)

Hmm, I see everything. Try again...maybe you were viewing while I was making an edit? Also, I didn't realize phone was set for small pics :(

The first 3 words of your TR are a great summary.

I just love seeing that many frothing powder hounds attacking the edges of the woods this late in the season. Then hearing all the WOW's as everyone arrives at the lift to go back up and get more .

Not just the edges, all the woods were open. Some were hitting lines thru woods between Shays and Lower Cupp. I was solo so I avoided that aggressive stuff.
