[YT][/YT] I just finished a month long ski trip from WV, Utah, California, Oregon, and Washington states and the best conditions I had were the first three days at Timberline, WV in late March. It's hard to believe, as I timed storms the whole trip, but the weather just happened to favor WV, the snow was the lightest, and deepest, and only bottomless powder beats deep powder on top of moguls, rocks, etc., for me anyway, and I didn't see any bottomless powder. Anyway, I have posted so many videos of skiing powder on top of moguls at Timberline this season, I figured I needed to post some of the rest of my trip, so this video is from Mt. Baker, WA, last week. I went up there to check out how good the terrain, snow and lifts were at the snowfall capital of the planet. The snow was lighter than anywhere else west of the Rockies, the lifts and terrain were steep, so I am definitely torn now whether to spend next winter in Bellingham, WA or Sacremento, CA, as a base city to ski and kitesurf from. If I can learn to tolerate water temps in the mid to high 40's, it will be Bellingham. Right now my limit is 50 degrees, but I can get better gear. I am taking two weeks off now to let my shins heal and then it's back to my summer base in Portland, OR til hurricane season in NC. Let me know if you all want to see more video from my latest trip.
