Will not include any Snowshoe Summit.

Starting on Friday night, a little late afternoon/evening session at Ober. 13 laps, 10,400 vertical feet in about two and a half hours. Couple of runs down Grizzly, mostly Mogul Ridge laps (Ober Chute/Mogul or Griz/Castle/Ski School=800' vertical). Good conditions, hardpack, 4ish' base everywhere.

Home now, packing up for Saturday's adventure. Stay tuned kiddies.

I know that Ober is teeny weeny and I can see Mogul Ridge in the pics but it's kind of hard to make out how the bumps and details are.How would you compare it to the black runs from NC and even other SE locations as far as steepness and bumps? It seems like Ober has less verticle than Cat but more than App!

So yesterday I went up to Tellico. I arrived a couple of hours early to do some fishing.

Unfortunately, all I caught was a buzz.

Made a few laps on the Ledges and then a run out on the Middle section.

Ran this.

Today, I went for a little hike in the Smokies. Saw some more waterfalls and an old abandoned car. Can anyone guess where I was?

And I just finished up filling out all the questionnaire's for my (and my wife's, and both of my kids) tax returns.

Well, it's back to work tomorrow.

Ober has 800' vertical. In general it is steeper than Beech, Cat, and App. Not as steep as Boulderdash & Whoop at Sugar. I like the terrain at Ober better than everywhere but Sugar, but I like the price and proximity a lot better at Ober.
