Rode with carvebeast. It was fun. Snow was GREAT. Bluebird conditions. Perfect temps. Lots of gapers. Hiked the park in the afternoon. Am now convinced Powderbowl is the most dangerous spot in NC. Read my comment about it here... http://www.skinc.com/messageboard/showt ... post295226.

5,506 is awesome.

Lots of people were already out in the morning.

Coverage was great on the open trails.

Did I mention it was a beautiful day?

Snowmaking had just started on Lower White. I bet it opens tomorrow.

Looking up from the park.

Powderbowl was really fun and in great condition.

Here's a sequence shot of Tom backflipping the bottom jump. I screwed up the camera settings so it looks like crap.

Here's an Instagram edit that Tom made. Good times!

I'll be out there again on Saturday. Should be another good day!

Nice! It's amazing the difference from one day to the next. We went Monday morning. Visibility was maybe 150 feet which added to the danger factor but seemed to keep the holiday crowd down a little. Almost turned around and left but was really itching for that first day on the snow and it was good to get out for a few hours.

I'll be there Saturday. The yardsale is pretty good and 8.1%. Two of those and we were feeling good.

I was there the day before too. It was pretty amazing how big of a difference a day made. I still had fun on Monday as I've seen it way worse, but Tuesday was just so much fun.
