Got my first day of the season last Saturday. Conditions were great. They had about 2 inches of natural on Thursday, made snow all day and night Friday, and then were nice enough to turn the guns off for the entire day Saturday.
We bought the marathon pass and skiied from about 10am to 10pm, with a few breaks for snacks of the inebriating kind. Met up with skiatlanta and his crew for a few runs.
Here's a few pics.
Great looking deck out there.
Around 3:27pm in the afternoon, a large crowd had gathered at the ALLEY CAT COULOIR. Most were hoping to catch a glimpse of a double black diamond shredder brave enough to drop in.
Patrol said they did avalanche control early that morning, but there's no telling when the ALLEY CAT CORNICE will break off and wreak havoc on turkey trot.
