Not many pics today. I did take a few some of you have already seen.
Woke up at 8, on the road by 9. Sausage Egg McMuffin, CHECK! Traffic was light as most people were headed back down to Denver as EB 70 was a madhouse.
Got to Breck and on Independence by 12.
Didn't make many runs, but they were quality. First run, dropped in to Horseshoe Bowl. Wind crust and rocks made the top not very fun, but closer to the bottom it was softer and smooth. Really let the planks run.
Second run, took Independence to T-bar, to Imperial and cut across to Peak 7. The wind was fierce as usual, but decent coverage. After photo****ting it up I headed down. Patrol dropped a few big slides in Peak 7 bowl with the debris running down Y-Chute last week, so I avoided that and cut left to Art's to Sadie then down Ore Bucket. Some decent wind load gave some grip, but just like Horseshoe, big sweeping mach 4 turns were the trick.
My legs were revolting against being suddenly forced from being sedentary to active so I just made groomer runs to finish out the last 2 hours. Lines were not that bad all day. The last hour, no wait.
A little Pano of Peak 8 and Whales Tail
East to Keystone
Yours Truly
That view of Copper sucks...
This was last week. From Peak 10 looking back at 8
