Spent all of last week in Canadia. Skiied 5 days. 2 at Sunshine Village and 3 and Lake Louise. Snow was VERY thin and we only got a total of 5 inches (10cm in Canadian) while we were there. I played ice hockey on frozen lake louise, went dog sledding, and went curling.

Here's my edit from the trip. It's my first time using a GoPro or editing video, ever - so be sure to make fun of me for it...

I've got a lot of pics too and I'll get some on here later.

Good job on the video. Looks like you had a great time! Be sure to post some dog sledding pics. I have always wanted to try that. Nice TR!

Great job, nice video . I can't believe you went through that rock field at 8:21 - I would have bailed! It must not have been crowded - it looks like you had the whole mountain to yourselves.

Love that place, but wish you had some more snow to enjoy.

thanks. yea the rock field probably wouldn't have been hit if they were my own skis. It was pretty sketchy through there, and that little spill at the bottom could have been a lot worse. we skiied Sunday through Friday so there was hardly ever a lift line.

The views didn't get old

We played Hockey on the beautiful Lake Louise

Went dog sledding. This was an awesome experience and I'd highly recommend it. These dogs LOVE what they do.

Tried out Curling

Made friends with a local bartender. He introduced us to the "universal" sign for the Burt Reynolds shot which involves whiskey and butterscotch. Probably had 50 of these from the time we met this guy to the end of the trip. Most of them on the house.

Made friends with our flasks

Caught some air

And continued to take it all in

Such a great report, congrats on a great trip "aboot"

The above picture really struck me because they look like the steep winding narrow trails at Stowe or wherever, were stuck into all that northern grandeur--

Anyway thanks a lot for killing me as another month starts slipping by

Thanks, very nice TR!

I have always wondered what the skiing was like up there at LL. We are planning a summer trip for there and the pics I have seen of that whole area from Banff to Lake Louise to Jasper are just stunning in summer.
