We went to Sapphire more for Saturday tubing than Friday skiing, but if I'm there then why not? It seems like a decent enough place if you want to teach your kid yourself. Just don't expect much else.
The place is laid back and uncrowded. If it had more terrain I'd probably go again.
I think these were the cliffs Mogwa got slid off of at the end of Last of the Mohicans
You know a place is gonna be busy when they have a dedicated puzzle table to keep the lodge employees from getting bored.
The learning slope
My son heading to lessons.
This is pretty much it
Nothing says overkill like having a rescue dog for a place thats about the equivalent of a couple of football fields worth of acerage
I watched these to figure out how to attach the sled to the lift.
Aiden LOVES chair lifts
He skis down so that he can ride up again, as opposed to most people who ride up so they can ski down. Whatever works for him though....
Aiden and I made a few laps on the big slope
He picks up a snowball
....and eats it.
While he was at his lessons I did the "big" slope. I got bored kind of quickly so I started doing it backwards.
Here you go, forwards and backwards in stunning HD.
