Another day trip to the Shoe. When I arrived at 915 there seemed to be a higher than normal # of cars in the parking lot and people at the top of Soaring Eagle lift. Did one lap there then head to WT. No new snow. Cupp and upper Shays were great all morning, especially the left sides. Lower Shays had no bumps and was blue ice by 11am.
Lower Shays
Left the WT around noon as crowds picked up and a light snow started. Did the usual stuff off Ballhooter (no heavy crowds, singles line was 3-5 deep). Found some bumps on Knotbumper...a bit big and icy for my skill level, but I managed through them a few times.
Knotbumper
Ended back at Soaring Eagle to finish the day when the snow became heavy for about an hour. To my surprise best runs of the day by far were under the SE lift...still lots of soft snow and good coverage. Camp99 was good too.
