Having missed the great conditions Thurs. I was determined to at least get some leftovers at beech. Wife being out of town the animals are in my care so I brought my dog with me, she was perplexed and not at all amused by this unexpected trip

There was not too much powder, although I didn't venture off the beaten track, but all the runs were wonderful; silky and soft. Really good mood around the whole place too.

I love the beeryurt, a great addition

I had a beer with Skywryter, hubby, and their group and assisted with hauling down some empties, making myself useful and fun as hell -- pics were taken, perhaps they'll emerge.

Just a day, with more driving then skiing, still it was grand (but I've really come to hate the drive home on these daytrips, blah) Still gotta ski it if you can, I will remember the runs a lot longer then the drive

edit -- perhaps I was being unfair to my dog, she was probably wondering why she wasn't getting to ski

Stopped into the beer yurt on a really great day a couple weeks ago. Visibility was nil, the place was happily empty. I got a day pass (open until 1pm). It was great to see the "open" banner at noon.

Got my last lift ride up at 1pm. Had a pint, enjoyed some bar talk, and skied down.

A great day of skiing, and a great way to end the day.

The drive home would have been better if you had invited someone to keep you company for at least part of the ride.

I thought I was going to go to asheville spend the night and ski Wolf for the first time, that's why I brought Lucy -- however I got my directions wrong and decided to just keep going home

Did Skywryter send you any pictures?

Good to see all the white on the mountain. A day trip is a blessing. I miss being close by.

Nice TR DS. Beech has got it going on this season, hope they continue to keep improving. I'm sure your dog had a great time, should have brought him some snowlerblades.
