Beech on Saturday was great! The snow was good and it was not too cold. It felt like home! The crowds were light and the wait at the quad was only a few minutes if that. Skied until my legs said no more!
Bultaco
Corduroy for the Captain
The new Park Entrance
The new Magic Carpet
After skiing I was hanging out in the brewery and was introduced to someone who's name was familiar but I couldn't place where I knew it from until I heard her daughter's name. Helena. I had the best time with Christine Jolly who is on the mountain this year as a mountain host. We found that we had so many friends in common, both from skiing and in Winston Salem and were amazed that we had never actually met!

And a picture now. A most beautiful and talented young lady, Helana is at Beech this year helping out in various capacities and working toward her certification for junior instructor. Christine said that Helena recently told her that she never feels more free and knows just who she is, than when she is skiing. She sounds very much like her father's daughter. I am so privileged to have made this connection this week.
