Vail & Breck March 11-18th

6 days of sunny skiing and other activities compressed into 16 minutes. Great trip to close out the season for me.

Typical conditions every day were hard frozen until 11am or so then softening throughout day. Late afternoon was slushly on bottom runs. 5 days at Vail and 1 at Breck. Last day a local led us through some out-of-boundary in hopes of finding good snow. Turned out to be variable stuff...not easy to ski as the untracked stuff was setting up quickly with the record warm temps.
Grilled Elk & Pheasant sausages at Belle's camp (Blue Sky Basin) and enjoyed with bloody marry libations...which led to the singing and other antics.
I recommend Troy's Ski Shop (Vail Village) for any future visitors needing to rent skis (no boards). Great group of guys that know their stuff. Very friendly & helpful, good prices.
Had dinner at The 10th (Vail on-mountain restaurant). Caught this as we went in
