Cat 2-18 FF Day

The day started out 36 and sunny. Snow got gradually softer. The real tree contingent of the firefighting community was making a fine mess of things and by about one in the afternoon you found yourself navigating through minefields of camo clad humanity truly embracing the learning curve.
Lots of kids there today as it is also winter break for a lot of school systems. Lots of Floridians as well. A lot more crowded than I would've guessed. I waited in line for about half an hour for a lift ticket and I got there around 815.
Still a lot of natural snow on the ground from 2 nights ago.
The guy in the video was a fellow I noticed booking it. So I decided to chase him. Rode the lift up with him, and he asked me if I'd film him and email him the link to the vid. He told me about skiing in Europe and hopes to spend a lot of time in Whitefish in the near future. I lapped the mtn with him for a few hrs.
