Seattle, Mt. Baker, Crystal Mtn-Feb. 2-7 2017

I made a quick trip with Zeus out the Seattle to see X. He moved out there a couple years ago from Charlotte.
From the flight in
Skiied a couple of days at Mt. Baker. It was snowy. Day one was pretty good, a couple inches of heavy snow smoothed things out nicely. Day two was almost impossible 12-18 inches of super heavy Cascade cement. About the only runs skiable were the ones that had been recently groomed and only had a few inches fresh on them. Closures were everywhere.
Went to Crystal Mountain the last day. The temperatures had dropped bringing more snow but much lighter, it wasn't Utah pow but it sure wasn't cement either.
Got back to Seattle and it snowed overnight. Apparently it never snows in Seattle. The town virtually shut down, flights cancelled; it was Seattle Snowmeggadon. All for this:
Spent the day going to breweries and such. If you're gonna be stuck somewhere for a day, Seattle is a pretty good place to be stuck.
