The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Been thanked: 5 times

Made it to Beech yesterday with a few family members. We had a great time! Sorry, no pics. The trails were in very good condition. I finally got to try out the Oz Run - what a great run. I wish that was one of the first to open each year instead of the last. Oz has a nice jump over near the #2 snowgun coming down the hill that is fun. The mountain in general was in good shape, especially Upper Shawnee. Robin's Run had a little ice and Southern Star and White Lightning had more ice but very skiable. The temperature was upper forties and only a light jacket was needed - even saw one guy in a short sleeve shirt! There were not that many people on the mountain and lift lines were quick. I definitely recommend it for this upcoming weekend.
