The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Went to App for a few hours after work with GrizzlyEnton. I've never really been there except at the end of seasons so it was nice to ride there when it wasn't all slush. Lots of snow blah blah blah. Everyone knows App has a ton of snow so I'll just post some park pics. AppalJack was closed as they were rebuilding it and putting up stuff for Fresh Friday tonight I'd imagine. The beginner park is just that, it's perfect for beginners. It has two small jumps, a butter box, and a flat box. AppalJack has two pretty big jumps on the right side. The second one is pretty beastly. I did not hit it haha. There's a rail on the trail to get to the park, a large round rail jib at the top, a down rail, a corrugated pipe, and some other jib that was closed. Candied Appal was closed and is clear of any features right now. Sorry if the pics are shaky I was holding the camera in my hand as I was riding.

The second jump. It's bigger than it looks.

I'm guessing you don't even need to pop off that kicker. Is there enough pitch to get enough speed for the ramp though? Can't tell from the pictures.

Yeah you just can't speed check too much. It throws you up perfectly. I popped off of it just cuz I wanted some more air but you don't have to.

That downrail looks tasty. I love the cat track hits as well, another classic app using every inch of space on that hill. My mind is in serious park mode at this point. Nom nom nom

The question is not how high my friend, it's how far. I'd guess a solid 40-50 from just lookin at the pic

The flat is 40-50'? That thing has to be super high then because I wouldn't have thought that...

I lapped a very similar shaped one late last year that was about 40. The one pictured here likely has a little less pop than that one due to the lip shape but a little more length (im thinkin about 45). Anything 40 and up you have PLENTY of time in the air to think about what you've done right or wrong:D

And I would say the lip on this one looks to be 8-9ft high. I'll let you know for sure saturday:>)

Haha, indeed and the "bigger than it looks" comment is in full effect!
