The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

I meant to post this back in the fall. We hiked up to Hemphill Bald and here are some views of Cat from up there:

Husband...

Its a great hike and since its owned by the ranch and you can only go if you're staying there so, no worries about crowds. There was no one else on the trail that day.....I like that! This fall, I plan to ride one of their horses up that trail!! :)

that is a great shot of the Cat. Gives a true sense of typical NC skiing

Doesn't it, Slik? The ski area looks so small from up there!!

David, it would be awesome..... Short but very steep. From the base of the Bald to the top is maybe 100 yards or so, but walking up, I felt like my lungs would explode!! And I think I'm pretty fit...

I wish they would clear out the tress by OMG and create more glades and i also wish they would open up a run under the quad lift.Im sure some one has said this before but utilize what you got.I dont see the meadows open ever with the present situation as it is.Just pick which rumor you want to believe and Ive heard two.I would almost volunteer my time for some of these these ideas
