Rolled up the hill around 4:00 pm, out on the snow at 5:45. Snow was great on Shawneehaw, Star and Lightning, Robins was a little bumpy due to all the new man-made snow. There were enormous rollers here and there, kind of fun, tons of them in the terrain area. Very cold, at the top it hovered from 11 to 13 degrees with about a 15 mph wind.
While it wasn't still powder, the snow had good texture and was fun to ski. Didn't drag out the fat skis, but it was all good.
One of our patrollers flew up from Florida and cooked up about 50 pounds of crayfish after shift, and we pigged out until about midnight.

The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.
We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

DO NOT HOLD ME TO THIS!!!!! One of the snowmakers said they might have enough snow back there to open this weekend. It remains the mountain manager's decision as to when. Hope for natural support!!!!
Problems last night included a skier/boarder taking out one of the hydrants, shutting down the water side of the system. Got it back up and running in an hour or so.
Maybe this weekend.

No, I think it was a drive shaft issue. I was there, no chair came off. Helped off-load the folks as they came up.
