I just thought I would take a minute to mention I was in Banner Elk yesterday picking up some snowboard boots and bindings. I won’t mention the name of the first place I was going but I will say this I had my boots and bindings all picked out. I call the shop the day before to make sure they were in stock and to check there hours of business the said all was good and they open at 8:00. So off I went yesterday, got to the shop at 8:00 and no one was there. Waited until 8:30 and still no one (Their loss). So I called Extreme and went there. I went into the shop and spoke with Mike about boots and bindings. I can’t say enough about this guy. Hey was helpful courteous and also new his stuff. Needless to say he talked me into a set of Flow bindings which I was a little skeptical about being I have always used strap in’s. They mounted my bindings and off I went. I rode beech all day (Sweet conditions) and I must say, I love they the new bindings. I also purchased a pair of Vans boots with the Boa system, which seem a little tight around the foot but I’m hoping they’ll pack out nice. All in all I had a great day boarding and had a great time dealing with Extreme and their staff. Ps if any body is thinking about flow still bindings I can say this much they impressed the he!! Out of me.

Extreme is one of the best shops I have ever visited. Great service and top of the line equipment.

My experiences have been the opposite. I havent' set foot in the place in several years. Picked up some Volkl Chubbs a while back, they drilled through the base plates mounting the bindings. I did get a new set of Volkl skis out of the deal. They then ran a set of Volkl P50's through their base grinder, except on an angle, and killed the skis. I never went back.

I too have always had good experinces at extreme. They are one of the reasons that some people still do support their local shops instead of buying off of the internet.
