The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

WIth nearly all of their slopes open, crowds shouldn't be all that bad!

Never fear the crowds, at least until after lunch. I'm going to try to brave it, I've never skiied Grizzly before and don't want to miss the opportunity.

I skied it a couple of years ago (the last time it was open). I can't believe I am sitting in Pell City, AL and I'm not in the mountains enjoying this epic storm. But I do have good news. Snow is in the forecasts for next weekend! Could be another great weekend to ski!

You know, really snowy conditions tend to reduce the crowds at Ober. Something about that drive up the mountain turns them off. :D

Why drive up the mountain when you can have a great ride on the tram. If you ski, the tram ride is free! ! ! ! !

I prefer to have my truck at the top so I can go out and shed layers, etc. I have also found parking difficult for the tram since I usually stay in Pigeon Forge.

We are staying in Gatlinburg next weekend. It will be a one block hike to the tram station. I am so stoked about next weekend.
