The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

@Kelly K. 264482 wrote:ok I was worried for a minute. Let me see if I understand this correctly... basically you are saying you can ski Oz run with a regular lift ticket you just can't walk straight from the ticket window to the bottom of the run? I had no idea there was a tunnel, but what do I know I live in Middle Tn, and the only southeast skiing I have done for years has all been at SS plus 1 trip to Cat.

All I know now is I am getting sick of waiting for this warm weather pattern to break so we can get some more trails open. I am dying here to get back on the mountain. My Beaver Creek trip is just under 2 months away and I need to get my ski legs under me first!

I wouldn't concern yourself with the tunnel.

Just take the lift to the top and turn right. You will see the OZ run.

I'm thinking about putting my tunnel pass on Ebay. Feel free to make me an offer if you want it.

Dude, that shiz is NOT transferable. AND, if the Beech Mtn folks get wind of what you're trying to do, your seniority purchase rights WILL BE REVOKED. They are hardcore about stuff like that.

Oh, how the tunnel continues to bring joy into our lives.

Beech needs to worry about grooming their ice, not whether or not I sell my tunnel pass. PM me if you want it, $650. Let's get this thing sold!

I skiied Beech for the 1st time in 1975 and although they built the tunnel several years after that, I have a 'grandfathered' lifetime pass for the tunnel. I don't get up there much but would be glad to loan it to someone if they made sure it got back to me.

Just 650 for THE OZ tunnel pass?? Damn I wish I hadn't already wasted my money on plane tickets to Oregon, that is a MUCH better deal.

It's well worth it. Restrooms, cash bar, short order grill inside the tunnel makes for a good resting spot without having to come all the way down the mtn.

Plus the lack of lines and annoying little kids running around spilling ketchup on your clothes.. the Pass is the best money spent...
