The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.
We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

not that I know $hit, but ALTA ABSOLUTELY RULES
after that I think you're personal view comes down to untracked powder vs terrain. PowMow/solitude own the former snowbird the latter. I mean, no matter where you are on snowbird there's a kick a$$ steep or trees within 10 feet of you.
course I never been to the basin...and the beav is virgin to me...

Crap. I figured someone around here could answer a question about Utah...that's all that's been talked about for 2 weeks. Where did the [profanity omitted] beaver topic come from?
I ask about NC skiing, and I get post about Utah. I ask about Utah skiing and I get post about beaver moutin'. [profanity omitted]!!!!!
It's just like the old "Which resort is the best in NC?" question. There is no answer. All the resorts have there pluses and minuses, it just comes down to personal preference. If you've never been there before hit the LCC and BCC areas.
If you've only got 2 days there go with an Alta/Bird pass for one day and then hit Solitude or B'ton the other day. Normal wisdom says pow day ski LCC, day after ski BCC.

do your own research and match up your likes and dislikes or take the comments and quit your bitching.
I personally liked Solitude the best.
Alta I have no idea since they are not snowboard friendly
Snowbird great in the morning, tracked the hell out by afternoon
Snowbasin was ok
But no one here knows what you like so it is up to you to find your favorite.

I'm not bitching.
I'm not even asking for myself, a friend who is there now and was raving about S-bird. He didn't know where else to try, so I thought I'd see what others think and give him some input. I didn't think it was a complicated question.

It wasn't and you got some good answers for folks in the know. You just have to weed through the BS and pick out the useful shizzle. I'm used to it now.

I did get some good answers. Thanks to those who didn't write some crap just to take up space on the thread. I can already tell where to get good info here and I have only been posting for a few weeks.
