The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Parted ways with the other SkiNCers today to go touring with a buddy from TGR and friend. Was hoping to find some of the 17 inches of blower that fell on Tuesday left in the protected north-northeast facing areas. You can judge whether or not we were successful.

You can actually see the north face of Kessler to your right as you are driving up BCC. You can access the peak via a long slog from the other side of Days Fork or the Argenta slide path, which we chose. Argenta actually gets skied quite a bit as a run in it's own right...though I don't really see why. Go a little farther to attain the ridge and you can access a load of sick, sick terrain. We started skinning by 8:30, were at the peak by 11:30ish, and were finished by 1:00. This is our route, green is up, blue is down (we skied the East ramp):

Was it a waste of my time to spend an entire day skiing only one run? The answer is no when the run is 2300 ft of either A. Blower or B. Creamy pow pow

First, the scenics. It's truly amazing how tracked out backcountry areas get here. Also amazing: the scenery. Mineral fork:

Time for some skiing. Dibs dropping:

Dibs friend Topher was an absolute ripper, and on tele to boot. I think he likes it:

I'd say the snow was holding up just fine:

The presence of white smoke is a good sign:

The snow held up all the way down:

This was at the very bottom of the drainage, the last few turns. Snow still fantastic:

This was old hat for the guys I was skiing with, but for me it was truly an all-time day.

I'm not sure how I missed this one, but great job and sick pictures! Very Nice, EC'er. That 4th skiing shot is $$$.

Now I'm looking forward to photo****ting it up when you're out here in a couple months since none of my friends bother to bring their cameras when we go skiing.

Truly inspiring scenery in BCC. The only down side of living in Alta is that the BCC access is limited. I wish I had been able to rally for that tour.
