As part of my work, I have to attend a certain amount of clinic hours per year to keep updated. This year I opted to get out of Utah and head up to Jackson Hole, a mountain I had never skied. Alpine Steeps Camp was the program, and JHMR, PSIA, and my clinician delivered.
Looking SE from the top:
The view East:
This inversion was present during my entire stay, although it would lift in the afternoon so one could see to the valley floor. A look down Corbets from the top:
Establishing goals. Never ski the same run twice in two days. Ski the tram top to bottom non-stop. No injuries. Have fun. All achieved:
Looking back at the tram and the top of Rendevous Mountain from the Headwall:
Down Boxcar Chute:
DVKeri in Boxcar:
Discussing tactics for very steep, tecnical trees:
The Granny Chutes and hitting the fog line. Visibility was actually better on the chutes:
Getting ready for another lap, and looking south towards bc adjacent to JHMR.
Guess it's windy over on the Grand Teton:
Looking N towards Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks:
A couple of moose in the center of the pic:
Just of the tram, getting ready for 4100' nonstop:
This was a really great ski experience for me, both professionally and spiritually. If you've never skied Jackson Hole, you're missing out. Enjoy!

Nope, landing looked pretty packed out. Our clinic group didn't either, nor was it an option, due to some regulations. If I were up there later, towards the end of the season, on a pow day, then I would.

According to their website, they're leading all the US Rockies right now. Well over 300" so far. A common theme I heard in the clinic was "Usually this chute is narrower and more technical".
