We finally managed to make it up to the cat today since we couldnt go last weekend (we had friends in town for the Clemson game)

with the forecasted high to be around 60, we weren't expecting the best conditions...it wasn't too bad for the first hour or two, but it quickly turned to slush city.

we got there around 8, grabbed 2nd chair around 8:20 (they actually let us hop on before 8:30 for once!) and rode until around 11:45. At that point the crowds had picked up and the slush was just too much too deal with, so we called it a day.

Still definitely worth the $25 liftie. not bad for the first day on the slopes, I just hope they are able to have more terrain open by Can-U-Ski. Now, on to the pics!

Sides creeping in already

Let the slush begin

the only picture of Mr.ClemsonKeri that turned out

Me

Crowd picking up by 10-11ish...there were only about 10 ppl on the mountain for at least the first hour

Mini hammie

The Element works out much better than the Accord

My baby with snow in the background....now I really can't wait to see it covered in snow!

mmmm lunch. perfect end to the day

Teh End.

Even though the slush took over it still looked like tons of fun! Thanks for the pics!

Nice report and pics. :) Really appreciate you taking the time and effort to share this.

I was wondering how Cat was these first 2 weekends (other than what I saw on the webcam). Sounds like they had a pretty good turnout later in the day ($$$). Glad to see Cat getting early season support.

p.s. - What happened to Clemson Saturday ???

I was there today too. Keri's right. The slush got really serious around 11 but my buddies and I managed to stick it out until 2:30. Guess we were just stoked to be on the snow. The terrain park was pretty much non existent because all the landings were onto grass. The bonus for the day is that they honored mid week passes today so I didn't have to buy a lift ticket! All in all, you can't expect much prior to thanksgiving so it was well worth it! Hoping for colder weather soon!
