Great trip report Swamp. Well written and funny. Glad I got the chance to meet you and some of the other message board members.
I could not believe how quickly the lines backed up, but still a worthwhile day. I certainly won't take "normal" lift lines for granted anytime in the near future .

Add mine here. Day 2 off skiing after opening at Beech. Arrived at 7:30, on the snow shortly after waiting to ride.
Waiting in line, 7th chair
Must have been a Clemson fan
Bronco, Keri and JD
Trying out the new sticks, boots and weasel pants.
Drew's Sugar Momma
Lessons on teh first day
Keri
Keri and JD
Random people I don't know because I thought they were someone else.
10:00 My last ride for the day. I got in about a dozen runs before it was just to crowded in both the lines and on the slopes, had more than one close encounter with boarders and skiers.

Nice crowd pic pink....notice a part of why the quad line was so long. Only 2 people are getting on that next chair. To be fair, I rode with 4 all day but occasionally I'd see quad chairs running at 2 or 3.
Also look at the pile of people sitting there at the bottom of Lower OMG in the pic you captioned with "keri and jd"

It was worse by far over on Easy Way Lift. Lots of singles riding the triple. I realize that beginners are apprehensive about riding on a loaded chair and often don't ask strangers to ride with them but that is the job of a good lift operator. If course I always just ask if I can join someone, who is going to tell me NO!

I hate empty chairs and i saw plenty... and there were lots of human OBSTACLES scattered on the Mtn.. it was a agility course the entire run.. between the people and the death cookies and patches.. but lots of fun

empty chairs
Definitely unacceptable with a crowd like that.
Good to see a lot of people contributing to the cause for sure. Have to say that the parking lot looks more appealing than the trail(s?).
Nice TR, swamp and other contributors...
