The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Yardsale FTW. That takes me back.

I have to admit, I haven't seen the new B&B yet. I've heard that it's pretty funny... just like the old days.

I am not sure I would have clipped the ticket. However, the least little bit of attitude could change my mind.

Lol a wouldnt have suffered that 5 inch base to the bottom of my skis/board for a ski pole. Shoulda just walked instead of riding a ml under the lift. Only do that when theres a huge dump of snow. Scan the bottom of your board... the damage of a 50$ ticket being cut, may pale in comparison.

I remember when I was patrolling at Wolf Laurel Wolf whatever now? in college and we had the only good dump of 12"s I had experienced in the southeast and two guys poached "The Bowl" (oh yeah baby the bowl). If you know about the good ole wolf with lights made from a extension chord and some work lights it was rather dark in that area (I'm sure it's been upgraded?). Granted I had been skiing it all night ( I know I know), but I didn't clip their tickets I just said, yeah, i'm going to need you to not ski that anymore. I then asked them if they had a good time and they say, Yes. I said, that's cool have a nice day and if you ski it again I'll actually have to be un-cool. To this they responded like normal guys and said that's cool at least we got one good one in and I said yes you did gents, yes you did!

Since I was young and not that hard of a hard charger everything worked out well. So as for clipping your ticket if you were cool to them they shouldn't have. Each person is different I guess you just have to learn to play the personality of the moment for the given situation.

Did any of that I just wrote even make sense, there's no snow right now I don't even know what I'm doing anymore.

Just did the daily check of the sugar base cam, I think it is time for them to turn that thing off, looks a little muddy out there. I say they don't make it to this weekend and they won't be open for a few days going into the holiday rate period.

Don't worry it's probably the vortex

Here's another pic where I was just trying to help another guy retrieve his hat, he needed to jump off a rock to try and find it

Ski patrol was being really uncool, yelling at me from the chair -- why does everyone hassle unselfish giving sort of guys?
