So one of my friends and his dad were goin up to toronto for the indycar race on the streets and then new england and asked me to go with them.

They have a small Piper Cherokee Archer plane. Small 4 seater. So we flew that. We flew pdk(the general aviation airport for atlanta, 2nd busiest in the state) to chattanooga to some place in ohio, to toronto, to newport, RI to someplace in VA, to jefferson co. airport in ga to pdk.

We flew over the finger lakes and the catskills from toronto to newport. I took a bunch of pics of ski resorts.

Anways, some pics.

mountains in north georgia. Due to cloud cover I lost where we were exactly, but I think its somewhere near brasstown bald.

The original flight plan took us over near the smokies. Our transponder broke. You can fly without them and they can track you on radar, but international borders arent good without them.

We flew to chattanooga to get a new transponder.

this is where we sat for a few hours. watched fox news. I read climate confusion by Dr. Roy spencer. its a very good book.

Toronto is really the BYC of canada. Its a really compact city. The street life was vibrant as well with a plaza that reminded me of a small times square. There were lots of strip clubs.

We spent another day at the beach. We also went fishing on a charter boat. We caught a bunch of strippers, and a couple sea bass. My friend caught a huge flounder, the biggest of the season yet. Since he was so obssesed with putting pictures on facebook, he held it out to take a picture, but held it over the water. I guess you can guess what happened next. No picture came out of it and we didnt get to eat flounder. The captain of the boat said it was the dumbest thing he had ever seen.

Very cool. I grew up in the Finger Lakes region and have skied Greek Peak and Swain quite a bit. I'm pretty sure your first "lost ski area" is Swain, which is slightly west of Bristol Mtn.... and unfortunately closed this past winter.
