The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

My trip changed going to PA, so we didn't have time to go out to Blue Knob. We chose Bear Creek because they have a great ski and stay package. It's nice when you can have everything paid for on company dime. I only had a chance to ride for a few hours this morning, which worked out perfectly, if we had all day at Bear Creek we would have become bored with the mountain. As Blacky said, thier resort aminities are second to none. The Inn rooms were great, good food in the restaurants and a great upscale rustic feel, if there is such a thing.

The obligatory lift shot.

The snow was very sticky to say the least, that and the mountain has a lot of flat spots. It made it very hard to pick up any speed and the flat spots became traverses. You can see in this pick how flat the bottom of the mountain is.

Sasquache, or however you spell it, is thier best trail. Very enjoyable run down that. This pic is just a shot up the mountain, Sasquache is in the upper right corner.

All the employees spoke english and were very nice, everyone I walked past asked me how I was doing and told me to have a good day, and I'm not talking about 1 or 2, I'm talking like 15-20 employees.
