In the wee hours of the morning on Dec. 27th 2009 my brother and I set off for Frisco from Tampa. 34 hours later we were there. Holy crap that was a long drive.

Ready to roll.

Chatanooga:

Nashville:

Pig rollin' on I-70 in Kansas:

Kansas sucks, and it never ends.

Morning of the 28th, finally in the mountains.

Lift shot at Keystone (obligatory)

The sticks:

We spent most of the time at A-Basin. They didn't have much open but the snow was better and there were no crowds. We got some snow and did our best to take full advatage. Most of the following are from Wednesday and Thursday of last week.

Not a very good ad for Bluehouse:

Coming:

Going:

Good Day!

The drive down turned into a pretty slow crawl.

Fresh snow, empty parking lot:

Some of those tracks are ours.

Nice view from the top of the Beav:

We skied a lot and took a lot of pictures - these were the highlights. I've got some videos too, I'll try to get them up in the next few days.

Awesome. Does he have a job in Frisco?

I did that drive almost 6 yrs ago to the day (except from Charlotte). I got pulled over in Kansas, and I swear to god the cop just wanted someone to talk to.

gotta love a toyota corolla missing a hub cap. ive spent most of my life driving one of those.

I once got cussed out by a guy in the krystal in that chattanooga pic. i bought him lunch, he figured out I thought he was homeless, cussed me out and left...taking his lunch with him of course, and in a vehicle worth more than mine.

Yeah, Kansas has got to be the one of the most desolate and uninteresting places on the planet, same goes for eastern Colorado.

As for the job, he'll probably be renting out skis and boots at Keystone, then moving to Boulder in the summer or fall to start grad school.

Davidski - Yup, thats about the size of it! I'm going back in March.

Wow, if I moved now I'd need more room than just a Corolla. The days of moving my life in 1 car ended after I left for college for the 1st time.

Went from SoFLA to Tallahassee to Raleigh, NC. I have a feeling we'll just continue moving north or west though
