The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

Spring conditions today. Plenty of soft snow but not TOO slushy. Only beef is that they weren't running either lift 2 or 8. It took me a 1/2 an hour to get to the summit. The lines for the summit lift were twice as long as they were last Sunday despite the fact there was only 1/2 as many people. The lower right half of the mountain was pretty much inaccessible unless you wanted to take 2 lifts. I hope this isn't their new policy.

weekday policy. They probably had the shifts already in that rotation but didn't account for the fact that this week is far more busy in the midweek than others.

I used to ski mid-week all the time and I never saw both lifts 2 and 8 closed. This is now the norm for mid week?
It's not only inconvenient, it's dangerous. Seeing people ski beyond their skill level is normal at WP but there were even more beginners than usual on the upper half of the mountain due to the lines at the bottom. I witnessed a 200 yrd yard-sale on Nose Dive that very nearly ended with the guy crashing into the woods head first and on his back. Not sure he wasn't already unconscious because he was making no effort to slow down.
