The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

All of the weather problems at Beech will be taken care of once the dome is completed.

If I am reading the original post correctly, he is complaining that Beech's website stated certain areas of the mountain were open when, in fact, they were not. Sounds like a valid complaint to me. Of course its a always a good idea to call first, but the resort should still be truthful on its site.

To me, it sounds like everything was open, but he is complaining that they didn't spend all their time grooming the park. When the weather turns sour, they have a hard enough time pushing snow around to keep all the trails from getting thin, so I can understand that they didn't have the time or resources required to keep the park in perfect condition.

I've seen the plans. It's actually a retractable Thunderdome. They've hired NC-SNOWMAN to be in charge of when to open and close the dome. And make sure the website is updated to the second! This should greatly improve the total resort experience for both riders & skiers. I for one can barely contain my excitement.
